About Delprosa
Delprosa was established by Dr Rickey Donald, a chartered professional engineer with more than 35 years across process engineering, plant operations and project delivery in energy-intensive industries, with a solid 15 years in the water sector.
CPEng across three disciplines
Rickey holds Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) status in Chemical, Mechanical and ITEE engineering, alongside a PhD in wastewater and energy systems, a Master of Engineering Science in computer control systems, and a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours).
Industrial breadth
Rickey has been developing simulation models for over 25 years, from steelmaking to high speed manufacturing to power generation, and more recently in water treatment, across process engineering, project development and plant operations in energy-intensive industries including chemicals, oil and gas, minerals, pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, and clean tech and energy. For clients, that breadth is a practical advantage: the simulation captures how real industrial processes respond to changes in operation, so recommendations hold up in practice, not just on paper.
The same method applies beyond wastewater to any plant with flexible, controllable load, such as pumping, compression, refrigeration and batch processing. If you operate outside water and wastewater, it is worth a conversation to see what can be achieved.
PhD research into integrated energy and wastewater systems
The PhD applied the same modelling approach used in the Delprosa simulation to an integrated renewable hydrogen and wastewater treatment system.
Independent
Delprosa charges a consultancy fee for work done. No revenue share, no retailer commission. See How We Work for the full commercial model.
