Demand Response Simulation Replay

This replay shows a full year of a wastewater treatment plant operating under price-responsive control, simulated against real five minute wholesale prices from the National Electricity Market. The plant model includes pumping, aeration, solar generation, and biogas cogeneration, and the control scheme shifts load and dispatches generation to take advantage of price volatility.

The cost panel tracks the year under both retail and spot pricing, with and without control, so you can see the value the control scheme captures. Use the speed slider to run through the year quickly, pause to inspect any interval, and open the summary button for the year’s totals.

This is one example of the output from a feasibility study, a year of your own plant’s operation replayed against real market data. Your plant’s result depends on its own assets, tariff, and region.
